PVC is the general-purpose rigid plastic: cheap, easy to die-cut, printable by screen and UV, and adequate for indoor signage and sheltered outdoor use. PETG adds impact strength and chemical resistance and is the usual choice for machine panels and food-area signage because it can be cleaned with harsher agents.
Polycarbonate is the tough one. Where a sign may be struck, deliberately or accidentally — machine guards, school and transport signage, vandal-prone sites — polycarbonate is worth the extra cost. It is also the substrate for equipment overlays and membrane switch panels because it can be embossed and repeatedly flexed.
Foam PVC board is light and rigid with a smooth printable face, used for exhibition panels, indoor displays and temporary signage where weight matters more than durability. Aluminium and stainless steel are chosen where a sign must last outdoors for a decade or resist heat, and for nameplates and asset tags.
Screen printing puts down a thick ink film that resists UV and abrasion far better than a thin digital layer. For safety signs, machine panels and any sign printed in a small number of spot colours, screen printing is the longer-lasting and often cheaper option at volume, because the screens are made once and the run cost is low.
UV flatbed printing wins when the artwork is full colour or photographic, when every sign is different, or when the quantity is low enough that screen making cannot be amortised. It also prints white ink, which matters on coloured and metal substrates.
Safety signs are read at a glance and often under stress, so legibility matters more than decoration. We print to ISO 7010 and ANSI Z535 sign formats — the coloured shape carries the meaning, the pictogram carries the message, and supplementary text is used only where it adds clarity.
For compliance signage, tell us the standard your market requires, where the sign will be mounted and how far away it needs to be read. That determines symbol size, contrast and whether a photoluminescent or reflective face is needed.
Sheets are die-cut or CNC routed to shape, drilled for mechanical fixings, embossed for tactile panels, laminated for abrasion resistance, or supplied with adhesive backing. Metal signs can be brushed, anodised or powder coated before printing, and stainless steel can be chemically etched for permanently marked asset tags.
Workplace safety signs, machine control panels and overlays, equipment nameplates and rating plates, asset and serial number tags, directional and wayfinding signs, door and room identification, parking and site signage, memorial and donor plaques, and outdoor notice boards.
Send your artwork, size, material preference, quantity and destination. We quote within one working day with a material recommendation and a lead time. If you are not certain which material suits the application, describe where the product will be used and we will specify it for you.
We then produce a sample on the same production equipment as the bulk order, so what you approve is what you receive. After sample approval we run production, inspect, and pack for export — flat packed, rolled or boxed depending on the product — with documentation prepared for your destination. Shipment is by sea, air or courier.
